A group of Vermont women heeded a call to commit an act of mass civil resistance on Thursday in protest of federal immigration policies.
The action in Burlington involved about 45 women and children (and a few men) marching to the federal building on Elmwood Avenue. They stayed in lobby for 33 minutes – one minute for each child sequestered in a recent immigration operation.
