A U.S. Navy veteran facing possible confinement in an immigration facility or deportation due to his criminal history has asked Sen. Dianne Feinstein to intervene ahead of his Feb. 12 surrender to a Fresno ICE office.
To bring attention to the case of Joaquin Antonio Sotelo Tarin, who lives in Merced County, various advocates, veterans and community members plan to march Thursday morning from ICE’s camouflaged Fresno facility on L Street to Feinstein’s Tulare Street office, his attorney’s office announced Wednesday.
