SAN DIEGO —
Community leaders and San Diego County officials are encouraging the region’s residents to take the civility pledge ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
The initiative, spearheaded by nonprofit The People’s Alliance for Justice, received support from 25 elected officials and collected 150 pledges from residents since it launched on Thursday, said Rev. Shane Harris, founder of the alliance.
“We are going to put partisanship aside to stand up for citizenship,” Harris said. “Everyone should have the opportunity to vote their interest and their candidate without being hurt or infringed upon.”
