Protestors lined the streets of Springfield in front of Senator Roy Blunt’s office to express concern about separating families at the border.
Protestors held up signs around the 11 a.m. hour on East Sunshine Street. The protest stretches for an entire block. The protestors say they are also planning to line the street Wednesday in front of Rep. Billy Long’s office at 3232 East Ridgeview in Springfield.
Senator Blunt said Wednesday morning he supported a proposal in the U.S. Senate to stop the separation of families at the border. Shortly after the protest began, President Trump announced he will sign an executive order to keep families together as the immigration process works out.
