National Faith Leader Condemns Religious Violence in Manchester, England

Faith in Action grieves in solidarity with its Jewish siblings who gathered for Yom Kippur

WASHINGTON  – Following the tragic stabbing at a synagogue in Manchester, England, Bishop Dwayne Royster, executive director of Faith in Action, condemns violence directed toward Jewish communities:

“We grieve deeply for our Jewish siblings killed in Manchester, England, and all who were targeted by violence on Yom Kippur, one of the holiest days of the year. To strike people in the midst of prayer and repentance is not only an assault on life but also a desecration of the sacred. As people of faith, we condemn this violence and remain committed to building a world where all God’s children can worship, gather, and live in peace.”
