Thelma Gomez told the story Monday evening of a 16-year-old girl who crossed the border with her father and was brought to a detention center.
Gomez was one of about a dozen people who spoke at the rally Monday held to oppose separation of families at the U.S.-Mexican border and the “zero tolerance policies” on immigration.
