A salaried retail manager works 50 to 60 hours a week, but receives no overtime pay. Another manager was offered numerous full-time jobs that demanded 60-hour work weeks with no additional compensation.
Advocates for the Massachusetts Communities Action Network, a community organizing group that collected the managers’ stories, are pushing for a bill that would require more low-income workers to be paid for overtime work.
