Southcoast Today – NEW BEDFORD — Danielle Brown put the matter succinctly as she addressed the 100 or so people seated in the un-airconditioned Grace Episcopal Church on June 24, bolstered by bottled water and hand-held fans.
Brown, program director at homelessness and addiction services nonprofit Steppingstone, called out, “Tonight is about taking action. Are we ready to act?”
And she received a spirited “yes” in reply from those gathered at the United Interfaith Action meeting addressing problem housing and immigration issues.
