‘Get Out the Vote Rallies’ were held in Fort Wayne, Gary, Indianapolis, and right here in South Bend.

The goal is to get people from all backgrounds to vote in the upcoming election.

Rally organizers hope local churches will help people of faith to come together.

“We’ve made the promise of engaging about 4,000 voters in conversation to talk about issues that really matter to most us in this part of the world, like healthcare,” said Paul Ybarra, Pastor of St. Adalbert and St. Casimir. “Issues that effect my parish like poverty and immigration, issues that effect all of us together in terms of getting people engaged with their local politicians and building those relationships.”

Election day is less than two weeks away — Tuesday, November 6th.
