Vermont Interfaith Action of Central Vermont is putting pressure on local leaders to do more to end homelessness in the region.
At a Wednesday community forum, more than a dozen church leaders, legislators, city councilors and other stakeholders attended a discussion about homelessness at St. Augustine’s Church in Montpelier.
The message was clear: There is a problem. A four-year report, “Ending Homelessness in Washington County,” was presented as well. Local leaders were pressed to support initiatives to reduce the homeless population in the county.
