The main goal is a better quality of life, and it’s a task that can’t be done alone. Michigan Faith in Action gathered with leaders across the state of Michigan today, aiming to promote people power.
“People need to see that their voices matter, that when they come as a collective, there’s not 50 fights,” said Eileen Hayes, Executive Director of the MFA. “There’s one fight with 50 different rounds.”
Richard Jones is a member of the MFA. Being from Flint, he’s no stranger to adversity. He says people in Flint usually keep to themselves, but that the water crisis has helped bring the city together.
