Indiana faith leaders called on Gov. Eric Holcomb Tuesday to “disarm hate.” The leaders want Holcomb to denounce white supremacy and support gun regulations.
Faith in Indiana – a coalition of faith communities – delivered a petition to Holcomb’s office. Reverend Shonda Nicole Gladden says the call to action comes in the wake of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. “We are here because our governor does not have to wait for Congress to protect Indiana families,” Gladden says. “Amen, somebody.”
