Crossroads Church wants to help address racial tension amid COVID-19 and plans to host a community webinar on Thursday to bring everyone together.
“In the midst of experiencing discrimination during a global pandemic with the tragic losses of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, our country needs racial healing,” the church wrote in a statement Monday. “We believe the Church is called to take this on and respond.”
The online event will feature nationally recognized movement leaders and Chuck Mingo, the community pastor of Crossroads Oakley and UNDIVIDED founder. Mingo said racial tension doesn’t go away in a pandemic but rather highlights the gaps.
UNDIVIDED is a six-week spiritual journey that launched by Crossroads Oakley Community Pastor Chuck Mingo and a team of volunteers in 2015. To date, more than 5,000 people participate annually.
