The exodus of hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans due to the fiscal crisis that Puerto Rico is dragging since 2006 worsened with the devastating passage of hurricane “María” last September, and recent arrivals in central Florida are only looking for “a helping hand”.
In an exclusive interview with this newspaper before the official launch of the coalition, one of its founders, Betsy Franceschini, said today that the goal is none other than to help Puerto Ricans resettle in the area.
“The needs are many and people ask for guidance to enroll their children in schools, to seek employment, housing, medical services.
