Dickerson is the director of Brockton Interfaith Community, a coalition of activists and religious groups from the city. In addition to online videos, which are posted with the hashtags “52WeekChallenge” and “52Undo,” Dickerson said he is spreading the word about the anti-racism campaign in-person with others here in the Brockton area, with several local churches that have taken part.
“The intention of this is to build bridges,” said Dickerson, 33, who took the helm at BIC in April 2017. “The best way to build bridges is to engage each other in conversation and to practice loving each other well. One of the ways we love each other well is by seeing each other, by having these conversations, practicing seeing each other very well, and we hope to build bridges and build a better world.”
