LYNN — The Beloved Community Team will present a special Black History Month event, “Restoring the Breach: Building the Beloved Community,” on Sunday, 2:30-4:30 p.m. The event, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, will feature the Rev. Bernadette Hickman-Maynard, pastor of Bethel AME Church of Lynn and racial justice organizer at the Essex County Community Organization.
The public is invited to hear about lessons learned in negotiating race relations and building community through the criminal justice system — and join in activities and dialogue with others.
