ACTIONN Honors 408 lives Lost to Homelessness. Reno, NV- On Monday, March 25th, ACTIONN will host a candlelight prayer vigil in Carson City to recognize and honor the 408 Nevadans who died while experiencing homelessness from 2017-2018. This event takes place the day before the statewide advocacy day for the homelessness and housing happening at the Nevada Legislature. The candlelight procession will start at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and participants will walk to the Nevada Legislature to be welcomed by Assemblyman Tyrone Thompson. There will be short speeches from elected leaders, impacted residents and faith leaders. The evening will end with a spoken word performance from a formerly homeless individual about his experiences and a brief call to action.
