MARION — Four prisoners from Marion Correctional Institution who had COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus, have died, according to the latest numbers from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
A total of 17 Ohio prisoners have died from probable or confirmed COVID-19-related causes as of Thursday, according to the corrections department. Eleven of the other prisoners were at Pickaway Correctional Institution and two were at the Franklin Medical Center.
