Raise Up NH, a coalition of faith, labor, and grassroots community organizations convened by the Granite State Organizing Project offered its congratulations to the NH House of Representatives for passing a minimum wage bill that raises the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025. The House voted 212 to 155 in favor of HB 731.
An increase in the State’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $8.50 would go into effect 60 days after the bill is enacted. An additional increase to $10.60 would take place of January 1, 2021, with the minimum wage continuing to increase annually until it reaches $15.00 in 2025. The bill, HB 731, must now pass in the Senate and be signed into law by the Governor.
