WORCESTER – Facing heavy criticism over her administration’s handling of the issue, Worcester Superintendent of Schools Maureen Binienda has laid out an updated road map for the district to address racially unequal discipline rates in the district.
The superintendent still did not have an easy explanation of why that gap has persisted in the schools. In a sit-down interview with the Telegram & Gazette where she was joined by school safety director Robert Pezzella last week, she said “there any many concerns” contributing to the problem.
