Pastor Les Simmons spoke Saturday in response to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office announcing that the officers who shot and killed Stephon Clark will not be facing criminal charges. He began by holding a moment of prayer for the community and the Clark family.
“I pray that we don’t just get through this, but we make change. We lean all the way into this and set the tone, not only for this city, but for this state and for this nation of what justice and accountability looks like,” Simmons said.
