The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham has announced grants totaling more than $1.2 million in support of thirty-five nonprofits in Jefferson, Blount, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker counties. Grants awarded through the foundation’s second grant cycle of the year were focused on ensuring that communities are sustainable, livable, and vibrant and that individuals and families are economically secure. Recipients include the Alabama Symphonic Association, Innovation Depot, the Lakeshore Foundation, and Faith in Action Alabama.
