U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said she is looking for answers after four clergy members were banned from supporting immigrants at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Manchester this week.
The clergy members said they went to the federal building in Manchester to support an immigrant family in crisis through prayer and spiritual support, but they were told they were not allowed unless they were family. The Rev. Sam Fuller said members of the immigrant family are parishioners at the St. Anne and St. Augustine churches in Manchester. He said there are concerns that a man who’s a husband and father of two could be deported.
