Bracing against the bitter cold, over a dozen people marched through downtown Montpelier in solidarity with the South American migrant caravan.

“Is this making a difference? Absolutely! We can’t sit back and do nothing,” said Asma Elhuni, lead organizer of United Valley Interfaith Project.

This group, organized by area interfaith leaders and cultural community groups, wants state and federal immigration policies to be more humane.
