Recent attacks against minorities and LGBT students at Kickapoo High School in Springfield have spurred action by both community and faith leaders. The incidents include a racist rant posted online and LGBT posters ripped off of walls at the school. Rabbi Barbara Block, the NAACP, and Southwest Missouri Faith Voices say that they want to support the students.

Susan Schamalzbauer with Faith Voices of Southwest Missouri says that she is disgusted by the events recently. She says that she is a mission for equality. Rabbi Block says that she wants the students to know that they have allies. She says that she will not stand idly by.
