A recent vote by city aldermen to allow voters the chance this fall to weigh in on the issue of student representation on the Board of School Committee (BOSC) left a bitter taste in the mouths of some of their counterparts on the school board.

As previously reported by the New Hampshire Union Leader, aldermen voted to place a nonbinding question on municipal election ballots in November asking, “Are you in favor of a student from each high school having a seat on the School Committee as a non-voting member?”
