Children laid on the floor of Capitol Hill on Thursday wrapped in blankets similar to those given to migrant kids who were separated from their families in protest of President Trump‘s controversial “zero tolerance” policy.

The measure, which sought prosecution for any adult crossing the southern border illegally, resulted in the separation of hundreds of migrant families since being implemented by Attorney General Jeff Sessions last month.

Trump ended the separations with an executive order on Wednesday, but it remains unclear how that will affect children already separated from their parents or guardians.
