Two IMPD officers have been cleared by the department’s merit board for the shooting that killed Aaron Bailey last June.

The board returned their decision after 90 minutes of deliberation Thursday evening. The ruling means officers Carlton Howard and Michael Dinnsen will be able to keep their jobs with the department.

The board went into executive session shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday to decide the fate the officers with IMPD.
