BROCKTON — A city interfaith organization continued its efforts to help those struggling during the coronavirus pandemic by distributing gift cards and other items.

Brockton Interfaith Community says it has given away hundreds of gift cards since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Massachusetts.

The organization started a COVID-19 emergency fund — the Mutual Fund — in late April to help city residents adversely affected by the coronavirus.

Brockton Interfaith Community says it has distributed more than $60,000 that has gone back into the community.
