A warm Boricua Hug for Puerto Ricans newcomers to Orlando
In Central Florida was born the Abrazo Boricua coalition, whose name was chosen by community organizations that help with human warmth hundreds of Puerto Ricans who have arrived and continue to arrive in Central Florida after the devastating passage of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico seven months ago. .Therefore, Abrazo Boricua is the union of more than 10 community organizations, defenders of civil rights, faith and civic participation that have been working and providing that helping hand; that together they can build a network of referrals to assist each case in the best way and give them that immediate and effective attention.
The announcement of the creation of Abrazo Boricua took place at the Hispanic Federation of Florida in Orlando and was attended by representatives of Latino Leadership Inc., Vamos4Puerto, Faith in Florida, Latino Justice PRLDEF and Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, among others. .
