Democratic congressional candidate Mike Levin said Monday he opposed the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanagh to the Supreme Court and lamented the judge’s anticipated conservative impact.
“Unfortunately, he’s going to have a huge impact for the next 40 years,” said Levin at a brief press conference in Oceanside.
Levin, who was planning to address clergy and community organizers at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, labeled as incomplete the FBI’s report on allegations that Kavanaugh assaulted a young woman in high school.
“I did not support the confirmation,” he said. “I felt as though there were significant unanswered questions.”
