Over the past nine months, the family has been asked to report to the ICE office several times, Fuller said. Fuller and three other clergy members showed up at a meeting Tuesday to support them, but they were asked to leave the waiting room.
“The officer mentioned that, ‘We want to make sure we have an orderly atmosphere,'” Fuller said.
The Rev. Jason Wells of the New Hampshire Council of Churches said the clergy members weren’t causing a disruption.
“We were not overcrowding the space by any means,” he said.
Wells said he’s disappointed by what has happened.
