Residents, community and faith leaders will be joined by Senator Teresa Ruiz to rally for the expansion of access to driver’s licenses to more New Jersey residents. The senator is expected to speak in support of the cause. The Let’s Drive NJ campaign is rallying across the state to advocate for the creation of a new state-purpose only driver’s license.
This is will benefit many vulnerable populations including seniors, undocumented immigrants, and survivors of domestic violence. Expanded access to driver’s licenses is expected to increase road safety, boost New Jersey’s economy through collection of fees and insurance payments, and support the well-being of communities by decreasing the risk of family separation.
