Lewis Finfer, co-director of Massachusetts Communities Action Network and one of the leaders of the liberal coalition, said recently that advocates for raising the minimum wage will not concede to the demands of business groups on the level of wages for tipped workers, establishing a lower wage for teenagers and the elimination of time-and-a-half pay on Sunday.
Raise up Massachusetts said Monday, “While we determine our next steps, the Raise Up Massachusetts coalition remains strongly committed to winning a $15 minimum wage and paid family and medical leave for all Massachusetts workers this year, in the Legislature or on the ballot.”
